WORKSHOP III. Waste Management Challenges in Marginalized Communities

On 4 June 2026, Workshop No. 3 was held within the framework of the project Waste Wise: Enhancing Governance for Sustainable Waste Management, entitled "Waste Management Challenges in Marginalized Communities."

The workshop focused on the environmental, social, and legal challenges of waste management in marginalized communities, with particular attention to barriers to effective waste collection, recycling, and community engagement. Participants discussed practical solutions, exchanged professional experiences, and explored examples of good practices from Slovakia and other European countries.

The workshop was attended by 10 employees of the Department of Environment of the District Office in Nitra, who gained new knowledge and practical recommendations applicable to their professional activities.
